MY TOOLS FOR INKTOBER 2017
Inktober is back! And I decided to participate again.
Last year I didn't find the time to do the whole 31 days challenge, so I hope this year I will do better!
I will follow Jake Parker's prompt list as I find it quite challenging, especially this year.
Last year I only used one tool to draw. This year I want to experiment different pens and techniques. I also want to train and try include more environments to my drawings, so I'm adding this as my own challenge on top of the prompt list.
Here is the list of the tools I'll work with this year:
1- Faber-Castell Pitt superfine pen, which is great for the line work and details.
2- Uniball Sign Pen. A medium tip pen with a great ink density.
3- Pentel pocket brush pen. Last year I used the Kuretake Fude brush pen. It's very similar except the Pentel brush is synthetic and the cartridges that come with the pen hold permanent ink.
4- Pentel touch pen. A great pen to do very thin lines as well as thicker ones.
5- My sketchbook is slightly bigger than the one I used last year, which will allow me to play more with the environments.
6- A thin and a medium brush to add shades with ink.
7- Uniball Signo white pen to add some thin details on top of the ink.
8- Muji thin gel pen for line work and details (a bit different from *1 as it's a ballpoint pen)
9- Prismacolor col-erase pencil. My favorite is the lavender colour.
10- ArtGraf Graphite ink . This tool is the one I am the most curious to test. It's a block of graphite that is used with water to create ink.
Good Inktober!
